Protests for the Disappearance of Guillermo López

Relatives of Guillermo Raúl López Escobedo, missing in Amozoc for over a year, have protested outside the Puebla State Attorney General's Office (FGE) demanding quicker action in the search for the young man. Guillermo's mother expressed determination in her protest, stating that they will not cease until they are received by the Attorney General, Idamis Pastor Betancourt, particularly before an important hearing scheduled for February 17.

In her demands, Guillermo's mother has emphasized the importance of not letting the case fade away and ensuring it is addressed by the relevant authorities. Despite the detention of a suspect linked to Guillermo's disappearance, investigations have shown little concrete progress, which has caused frustration for the family of the 27-year-old advertising design graduate.

The last time Guillermo was seen was on December 28, when he went to Ulises' house in San Salvador Chachapa, a municipality of Amozoc, for a sale. Although the business did not materialize, Guillermo disappeared mysteriously. The mother has pointed out the lack of cooperation from Ulises in the case, suggesting that his sentence could be reduced if he provided relevant information about her son's whereabouts.

Guillermo's family has expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in the investigation and the absence of updates since the detention of the alleged mastermind behind the disappearance. With banners, tarpaulins, and the young man's helmet as a symbol, they have made an emphatic call outside the FGE of Puebla, demanding justice and an effective response to their distressing situation.
